Job Summary

The Sales Development Representative will support the Sales Team in establishing and maintaining contact between Orion180 Insurance and the independent agency force for their assigned territory. This role focuses on promoting the Orion180 products, assisting in the growth of agents contracted, and training agencies on products and services. The individual will be responsible for a high volume of independent agency prospecting, managing inbound agent inquiries and administering the sales system.

Role and Responsibilities

To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and should demonstrate the following competencies to consistently perform the essential functions of this position. All employees are expected to adhere to and be knowledgeable of Orion180 operations standards, established security/safety rules and requirements for attendance. The requirements listed below are representative of the fundamental knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job successfully:

Externally:

  • Set up agency partners with their Orion180 System Profiles
  • Maintain agency profiles and update changes with agency partners within the Orion180 portal in order to keep compliance in good standing
  • Coordinate and lead training sessions with agent partners
  • Answer system and operating challenges regarding the Orion180 rater and our agency partners
  • Help agent partners with marketing and lead campaigns/efforts

Internally:

  • Assist the Territory Managers with obtaining weekly and monthly sales data
    • Breakdown and analyze weekly trends making sure to pay attention to
      • Agencies being added by state
      • Agencies trained per state
      • Agencies falling off per state or any alarming trends that should be focused on
      • Agencies getting back re-engaged per state
  • Help maintain Hubspot / Marketing CRM systems
  • Assist in releasing monthly newsletters or company announcements by territory
  • Assist in creating and generating monthly agency report cards for Territory Managers
  • Assist the sales dept with phone calls as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • P&C or Mortgage Industry Sales or CSR Experience preferred but not required
  • High School diploma / GED or higher
  • Ability to obtain 440 or 220 P&C within 60 days

Physical Demands

While performing general office duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, and reading, being able to lift light objects (<25lbs), and use standard office equipment such as a computer, printer, and phone. In addition, there is an occasional need to bend, twist or stoop to open/close cabinets, reach for files or other standard office type objects.

Work Environment

The office environment is generally quiet and, in a temperature, controlled setting with random adjustments in noise or temperature due conversations, unscheduled maintenance repairs to the building or its interior offices or unpredictable situations due to weather or other acts beyond company control. An employee must be willing to work their regularly assigned work schedule for their duties and/or job responsibilities and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company/department needs, project requirements or customer demands.
